Still wondering why we don't see a clutch and sequential transmission arrangement on any super cars. Too complex to maintain? Certainly they can pull it off on motorcycles.

The auction has been removed.

I'd be seriously missing that third pedal.

I totally agree. I hope to never own an automatic car. I've had some auto trucks, but never a car and I want to keep it that way.

No, not at all. Sequential transmissions can handle lots and lots of torque... they're used in all the GT class cars in the 24 Hours of Lemans and the ALMS, also used in World Rally Cup cars among several other classes of race cars.

I honestly don't know why. I'd sure like to know.

Well according to Wikipedia it is used in some high end cars, but not many. Most recent was the Lambo Gallardo. Ferrari has also used it some over the years. I can appreciate it being expensive to manufacture and build, but still... it is certainly not the most complicated technology out there...

I can't imagine the money is the issue when you're comparing it to these fairly complicated computer controlled slush boxes, or electronically controlled clutches and gearboxes they put in instead. I mean, we're talking about putting them in super cars, where money isn't necessarily that big of an issue.
