Agreed on lesser crowds. Holiday weekends are a lot of once or twice a year skiers who are usually burned out after a few hours in the morning and retreat to the lodge for cocktails. Add in some storm conditions and that further reduces crowds. The blackout also helps quite a bit.Honestly it seems like the Ikon blackouts have had a huge impact on MLK and President’s Day crowds where I ski (Sunday River). Those weekends are often less busy than a prime midwinter weekend. No complaints from me…
