Pico on Saturday was very manageable. Cars were parked in the two small outer lots next to Route 4 but no creative parking was needed unlike the prior weekend. The Saturday prior was noticeably busier (I got second to last row parking in main lot around 8:30 which was a first). For both weekends all lifts and terrain were open. So lines were short aside from lower quad last weekend so no complaints. Sunday, Monday, and today there have been wind holds on the summit. K&P have had a decent snow year despite the lack of big storms. As a result Pico has appeared busier based on parking. Ikon blackouts do seem to help. Holidays are better than some regular weekends.

"Canyon Chaos" . As bad as I-70 can be I really think it can be worse in Utah. 2 years ago we were leaving Utah to go back to Colorado, we drove south on Wasatch Blvd to get to I-15. Delayed opening in both Canyons and the traffic parked waiting for it (and I'm not joking) stretched 5 miles from the mouth of the Canyon.
i was on that line last friday morning. the line was crazy. got on the line around 7:30. the line started moving around 9:45 after the avi control finished. got lucky and got first tracks in mineral basin but i feel like it is getting worse every year. i saw an instagram feed on the line over the weekend. it can easily be miles.

the only way to fix this is the gondola. i saw some local signs saying no gondola but i heard it was approved. the word is out on SLC. where to next?
