Resort or Ski Area: Gunstock, Gilford -NH

Conditions: Sat-Groomed Frozen Granular ; Sun- Powder/Packed Powder

Trip Report: What great weekend and a comeback for conditions for the Mighty G! (Wish the same could be said for the Patriots!). Began saturday with some groomed frozen granular and not before long conditions ski'd off very quickly. Was able to demo skis from both Blizzard and Rossy, which was a nice change... In fact I loved the Rossy's... if I had extra cash I would have picked up a pair! Sunday came in with about 4 inches of fresh powder, with more snow falling throughout the morning. Since I had to be out by 10am to get back to Mass for the football game, I made the most of my hour and a half. Luckily, crowds were building by 10am, so I managed to get the goods early in the morning. The best run by far was Recoil sunday, as I was able to get first tracks on some ungroomed powder. All in all, it was a great weekend recovery and the snow was a welcome sight. Some pics for you to feast on

Saturday:
The ugly damage from last week's weather... Bare ground abounds-

Making the most of the day skiing some demos, here is the demo tent-

I loved the Rossy's though - ignore the bare ground though!

Being a member of the mug club pays since, well the conditions drove me to drink early:

After lunch, the sky opened up and down came the much needed snow!

Thanks for the TR... I was there on Sunday as well and have a few pics I'll put up in a bit...

I can't believe the difference from what it looked like on Saturday!

The Blizzards..were they the ti or the ca? I've driven the ti before and it was too stiff for me. That ski is no joke.

flatlands of Mass.
Just got back from a day there today. Nice top coat on the trails but one did have to be careful of the icy patches underneath. Intervals of sun but mostly cloudy with snow showers. Lines for the HSQ were manageable all day and there were no lines for the Ramrod Quad or Tiger Triple in the afternoon.

Best trails were the ones which didn't have as much traffic, including Pistol, Redhat, Tiger, and Phelps. The steeps on Flintlock Extension were a bit slick for my liking although they were completely manageable.
