Made our first turns of the year on Saturday at Gunstock. Started up around 10:30 or so after wife and kids got pictures for the passes taken (long line). Very impressed with open terrain compared to last season on the same weekend. There were 2 options from the summit, Trigger to Middle Trigger and Gunsmoke . We only rode Panorama but I heard Smith was open so I assume Ramrod was running. Plenty of cover on the open trails, definitly a way to go on the closed ones. No lines at all. Girls got tired around 2:00 so rather than pushing it we heaeded for the mandatory apres' beer and hot chaocolate a little early.
