Well of course I do, but how? I need good suggestions!

The guy wanted to sell me a really nice mountain bike, cheap. Way below market price. Ad was placed in RI craigslist, and the guy emails me telling me he's in the UK.

He said Royal Mail has an escrow service and I could send the bike back in 3 days after receiving it if it wasn't satisfactory. Of course the catch is I have to pay first.

Sounded legit at first, you know, Royal Mail and all but I don't think he's talking about the Royal Mail. As a matter of fact, I found a different Royal Mail website link (broken link) on a scam and fraud alert message board.

I've already asked him the name of the bike shop he bought it at and if he had registered the warranty and some other stuff he's largely ignoring. Now I need some creative way to feck with him.

Help a guy out.

Be happy that you caught on and move on with life. It's not worth your time. I wish I had free time like that...

Don't listen to these guys, you definitely have to fark with this guy. Get him to pose for some bizarre pictures with the bike, you know, to prove that he actually has the bike in his possession.

That's just to start with, I'm sure I can come up with more. Basically string him along as possible...

If you have his e-mail sign him up for every bit of spam you can find.

If you have his actual address you could mail him porn assuming he has a wife or girlfriend. Also consider placing some stinky green bud in an envelope without a return adress (be careful) and mail it to him. You got a 50/50 shot there.

Good idea with the email address, although it's a Yahoo address and I'm sure he'll just close it and open a new. Couldn't hurt though.

...don't know about the last one Marc...

;-);-)...if you can just program your antiviral sw to forward the caught spam...to original address...;-)
Otherwise, I might just do Greg's....and don't do anything...is definitely a scam...someone with that type of bike spends more time riding, unless it's hot...

Happy 4th of July!....

Ok, so I decided to play it pretty mild. I got confirmation from another website that this is indeed a scam.

Just as a PSA, beware of anyone using www.royalposte.com. Also, big tip off was the request for the Western Union money transfer. These scammers are not very slick. So anyway, I put in the fake tracking number into the real Royal Mail's website package tracker, got the invalid page, screen shot it and sent it to the scammer with the following email-

I can't wait to receive the package. I touched myslef last night thinking about that bike. Unfortunately, I had to stop payment on some of my ill grandmother's prescription medications. She'll just have to wait a little longer to get her syphilis cleared up.

Also I had to kill my dog, because I couldn't afford to feed him anymore. I'm glad though, he was getting on my nerves. He was almost old enough to walk, and you know how that goes.

The new bike should get me out of the house more often, which is good, because I'm just getting sick of my cousin's pillow talk after sex. He really needs to learn do deal without cuddling and make me a sandwich.

Hope all is well with you!

Cheers.

Well you could tell him that recently you received a bank cashier check from Nigeria that you are willing to send it him to cash. He could cash the bank check and use some of the money for the purchase of the bike and to ship the bike to you plus if he would also send rest to you or to the guy in Nigeria ..
 When I had more free time I used to fark around with those Nigerian guys.

Just wondering what your cousins name is, just wondering if he's a nice guy like you.

Other than making up the fake tracking number, there seems to be no lies in that story;)

My daughter sells items on Craigslist all the time .. the only problem she has had a couple of times is no shows .. She has shipped items too...
I've sold things twice on craigs... twice I had no shows or people changing their mind last minute and not letting me know.
