I have been seeing a few movies since I broke my wrist, which is not normal for me. Last night, Hancock.
This was a movie I thought would be okay to see but not on my top 5 list of "hafta see it" movies.
I was wrong! This was one of the best movies I've seen in a while, with some very interesting twists, blended with action, and humour.
Mosdef a movie I'd watch more than once.

Going to see Dark Night (or is it Knight?)...the new Batman movie tomorrow with the family.

Hancock looked pretty good in the previews. I think Will Smith does good stuff.

WOW, i had the exact opposite reaction. I was expecting another July 4th Will Smith blockbuster in line with Independence Day and Men in Black. My son and i walked out of the theater disappointed.

Two thumbs down, wait for the DVD.

this might be the first movie I see in the theater in 4 years. Heath Ledgers performance from the previews looks pretty legendary

Wait... Mos Def is going to see this over the weekend, or Will is going to see this over the weekend? Or, are Mos Def AND Will Smith going to go see it over the weekend?

I'm so confused....

I guess what may have made the difference for me, is my lack of expectations. I really didin't anticipate it being anything like Independence day, MIB or any other such Will Smith movie.

I guess seeing movies is like getting married.
If you don't expect much from it, you're sure to not be disappointed. :)

Most people bashed 'I Am Legend', but I thought it rocked. Yeah, yeah, why's Smith trying to find a cure when he believes humanity has been wiped out...and what was the deal with masking your smell with ammonia on his doorstep when it turns out those things can run up the sides of buildings...

Enough with Harry Potter and Batman...I wanna see more flix like Cloverfield.

(But how does a chick get impaled through the chest, then start jogging through a park two hours later?)

Did you see the original ending? Much better, and much closer to the story it was based on.

Did not like it. It got worse as it went. But then again, the GF and I are not big SciFi flick fans....
