Date(s) Hiked: August 27

Trails(s) Hiked: Hancock Loop

Total Distance: 6+

Difficulty: Easy

Conditions: Great

Special Required Equipment: Beef Jerky

Trip Report:
I don't normally post trip reports, but my journal was full (have to get a new one), and I thought I'd try this format out.

Pretty much picked the Hancocks out of the blue. haven't been there in a while and thought it would be a good loop hike for my dog Jackson.

Got an early start. Nice day with little humidity.

The one recommendation I would make is for folks to take the south link up and the north link down. YMMV, but for my money this gets you to elevation quicker. The north link has had some tremendous trailwork done to it (and I mean just outstanding).

Pretty easy dog trail as well.

Nice hiking and report Jay! Some stats: 9.8 miles round trip, 2,650' elevation gain and a book time of 6 hours:15 minutes. Wished we could have joined you & Jackson. Keep on truckin'!
