nice article. definitely right on point except for one thing: what's up with the author and his comment regarding burke's 2k vert feet?

Because while it’s true that there’s only so much one can do with 2,000 feet of vert, it’s also true that Burke locals—led by patrollers—have done it.

only so much you can do with 2k feet of vert? in the north east, 2k feet of vert is in my mind, the distinction between a really big area and a small one. especially if it's 2k continuous feet which is ever rarer. if anything, there's so much more burke could do once they get financially stable.
