I was thinking Sugarbush, Smuggs, or Stowe but the conditions to not sound good at all. Who has the best snow conditions? I was at Sunapee last week and the trails were perfect. Looking for the same but somewhere else. Any suggestions?? I dont care where or how far the drive is.

What day were you at Sunapee and what's your definition of perfect? I was there on Sunday and the conditions were anything but perfect...

With the snow forecast I'd think if you went anywhere north and west of Concord NH you would do fine...but that's JMHO.

They should all have great conditions after this snow storm hits correctly

Just don't ski at Yawgoo this storm. :)
If you're skiing Thursday, you'll be on the bleeding edge of the storm..You can't do Friday? There is little telling where the line will be. Go where the highest el. is!

I'm taking 1/12 off as well and heading to either Sunapee or Cannon.

Both areas will get more or less the same snow amounts. What concerns me are the projected winds. AM looks OK, S-SW 15-20 mph. However, the wind gusts are supposed to pick up significantly in the PM. 40-50 mph (W) gusts on top. I'm sure that will ground the tram at Cannon and probably the top lift too.

Q: Is the Zoomer chair typically sheltered from western winds?
If I go to Sunapee, they may close the lifts due to wind.

Thoughts?

The drive from Salem, NH on 1/12 to smuggs would suck. The others only slightly better

Yeah ur right, 4 hour ride. I guess I should hit places like Smuggs and Jay Peak when the conditions are good and all terrain is open. Yep. Spicket Hill used to be a mile from me (before my time though). Now it is Stanwood DR and full of houses.
Man......... dont know where to ski tomorrow. decision decisions
