Hincapie Sportswear Power Women's Bib Shorts

BK.jpg

If you consider yourself to be a connoisseur of cycling apparel, we're willing to bet that you've seen the Hincapie Sportswear Power Women's Bib Shorts' upper design before. However, even if you haven't, we assure you that it's quite similar to a piece that costs nearly as much as a down payment on a car. In fact, it's this theme of providing nearly unrivaled technology and comfort at an unbelievable value that runs throughout every aspect of these bib shorts.
Starting with the bib shorts' lower construction, Hincapie used its AT2 Force Lycra Power fabric. AT2 Force Lycra was chosen for the leg panels, as it's a polyester and Lycra Power yarn blend that provides a supple, yet durable, feel. At a lightweight 200g (a measurement of fiber weight), and with a 40-gauge loom construction, the AT2 Force blend ensures that you benefit from the smooth feel and wicking properties of polyester, while maintaining the supportive fit and aerodynamic advantages of Lycra Power. Additionally, this fabric is extremely compact with a multi-directional stretch, giving it firm and compressive support that reduces muscle fatigue and helps promote positive blood flow to your muscles. This material also incorporates what's known as Coldblack technology. This is a finishing treatment that reduces the absorption of heat rays in darker fabrics, resulting in protection from the sun and improved heat management.
For the hard-wearing inner-thigh and saddle areas, ABR Resistor Lycra was used. This material is known for its durability, as its specially knitted nylon, polyester, and Lycra yarns combine in order to provide a durable nylon outer-surface that resists abrasion. A polyester liner on the inside of these panels adds further protection from friction, and quickly wicks moisture away from the skin.
Finishing off the bib shorts, up top, Velocitek was chosen for the straps. This is a polyester and spandex stretch mesh that's tightly knitted as to provide excellent structure and moisture management. The mesh draws moisture away from the skin by using the body's expanding movements, which allows air to flow over the fabric's stretched surface where it rapidly dries. And for even greater comfort, you'll find that Hincapie strayed from the status quo for the uppers' design. Instead of featuring two straps that are awkwardly positioned of the breasts, the Power's uppers are guided between them. This keeps the fit of the uppers against the skin. And once the uppers pass the breasts, they form back into two straps, move over the shoulders, and secure to the back via a small buckle near the scapula.
The insert incorporated into bib shorts is the Power chamois. This insert utilizes a combination of variable density foam padding with perforated, high-density foam inserts. These inserts provide comfort, freedom of movement, and breathability. Hincapie's soft, Elastic Interface Technology (E.I.T.) cube microfiber cover provides high elasticity and also furthers moisture transport.
The Hincapie Sportswear Power Women's Bib Shorts are available in the color Black and in five sizes from X-Small to X-Large.
