Vehicle troubles all weekend. Friday, nephews car broke down in the snowstorm, sisterinlaws car wouldn't start, brother lost the brakes on his plow truck, my plow truck wouldn't start. Saturday my daughter totalled her car when she got into some thick slush and skidded into a telephone pole. Luckily she is ok- but very sore- thank god for airbags and seat belts. Spent yesterday afternoon trying to find the wrecker driver to square up on the car. Finally got that squared away and got the car planted in the back yard. Don't know what I will do with it yet. But the skiing was awesome this weekend. Did Attitash sat and Shawnee peak yesterday morning.

My weekend, and week for that matter, was pretty much the same. Had the motor blow up in my electric dryer Tuesday, missed a kickin' x-mas party at work on Thursday, pulled a musle in my arm shoveling 2" of slush on Friday, got in a fender bender Saturday (person in front of me failed to clear ice from her roof, which slid down and obstructed her view, causing her to stop short, causing me to rear-end her, causing my insurance to skyrocket). All this and my father-in-law is dying from cancer, and we're hoping he lives past the holidays. And I can't even save a boatload of money by switching to Geico because they're not an approved auto insurance carrier in the sate of Mass.

I feel for you Terry. You get hit with so many rights, you're just begging for a left. Glad to hear your daughter is okay. Kudos to her for wearing her seat belt.

Got me fingers crossed. It all just makes me thankful for what I have. My three year old waiting at the door everyday makes a lot of worries go away.

On a related note. While I was at K-mart picking up Rx for my ailing dad-in-law, thinking about how much the holidays suck, I had an idea. I bought a package of "Hot Hands" for $0.99 and gave them to the guy ringing the bell out front along with a few bucks for the kettle. You would have thought I gave him gold. Made me feel good for a while.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Good idea, I'm sure he really appreciated it!
