I used watch her movies on USA up all night when I was young. She was mobile porn for me before it existed.

Awesome movie! My ski buddies used to call each other the names from this movie when we were skiing. When my buddy met his wife on a ski trip in Aspen, she ended up thinking his name was "O'Callahan" for about 2 months. She never did find out that we called her "Sunny".

Some of my other favorite ski movies....

Copper Mountain - Comedy from the mid 80s. Had to have been one of Jim Carrey's first movies. Too bad Alan Thicke sucks.
Out Cold - Galifinakis was the man.
Ski School - I thought it was just as funny as Hotdog.
Aspen Extreme - A guilty pleasure I suppose but some of the Doug Coombs sequences making the story and dialogue palpable.

I always found Ski School 2 to be far better than the first but neither can touch Hot Dog!

I think Hotdog is on youtube as well.

Hot Dog and Out Cold are two staples on our yearly ski trips. Hot Dog was extra special last year because we were in Tahoe.

That's pretty freaking awesome. But what if it stops floating? Hope you have taken some water proofing measures!

Thanks. The first time in a couple of the pipes leaked a bit even though they were capped. You can see one corner is a little low in the picture. After that I sealed them with some silicone caulk, no more leaks. Easy job since the whole base comes apart in a couple minutes. In theory the 8 4 inch pipe will float about 450 lbs, the whole thing only weighs about 200, so there is plenty of buoyancy. I pull it out of the river after each show, so even if there is still a small leak it's no big deal. It is a lot of fun, the whole neighborhood seems to enjoy it. We mostly show kids movies. This year I'm hoping so get some better sound.

I have also Ski School, Aspen Extreme on my list of classic ski movies I've featured on my blog. I also a few extras which all had some kind of mark. This is not the definite list as they are still a few titles that I haven't posted on yet like Fire & Ice.

Ski School versus Hot Dog? I'm more nostalgic of Hot Dog, I guess it is also related where I was (age, etc.) when it came out vs Ski School.

Here is the list of movies I've blogged about.
Apocalypse Snow
Aspen Extreme
Blizzard of Aahhs
Les Bronzés font du ski
Der Weisse Rausch
Downhill Racer
Goofy’s The Art of Skiing
Hot Dog… The Movie
Hot Tube Time Machine
James Bond : On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
James Bond : The Spy who Loved Me
James Bond : For Your Eyes Only
The Man Who Skied Down Everest
Jill Kinmont & The Other Side of the Mountain
Ski Party
Ski Patrol
Ski School
Ultraman at Snow Mountain
Woody Woodpecker’s Ski for Two

You are more than welcome to point out the movies that absolutely need to be on this list. Mind you, with the exceptions of a few like Blizzard, the list above are not ski action movie, but more movies where skiing is featured or plays an important part of the story.

I haven't watched Hot Dog all the way through in a couple decades. Gonna have to set aside some time this weekend!
