It was called Peapack Ski Area. Is it still skiable? I thought there was a good amount of developement there. My father skied it when he was alive.

Get to Buttermilk sometime. Timber Doodle Glade is a blast. Like I said before when I'm at Aspen and its snowing Buttermilk is the bomb and its almost private.

Nope, no longer skiable. They built I think 4 houses on what used to be the 2 trails. But when I was kid, before the houses were built, you could easily see the 2 old trails and parts of the ropetow.

The only one I could think of right now is Tuxedo Ridge (formerly Sterling Forest) in southeastern NY. I would have to drive past 3 ski areas to get there so I probably won't make it there.

I've driven past Cranmore several times. Except for the Hannes Schneider connection which may tempt me to ski there if I get into one of my skiing history moods, I don't think it's happening.

Now that I think about it I see Stratton from the slopes of Bromley every year. I won't even count all the areas that I see from the air when I'm working.

They actually have (or had I don't know this year) a good deal where if you buy a ticket after 2 pm its good for the next day as well. I wanted to do that a couple of years ago but had my plans canceled by a death in the family. I'm always looking for ski bargins.
