I live in Hamilton on the North Shore and we had 12+ inches of rain since Friday. It literally rained continuously from Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon. Stopped for a little while, then began again. Right now there's a new lake across the street from my house where there once was a field. I'm rather lucky that I live on a small hill so only a couple of inches of water got into my basement.
