How was the skiing at your mountain yesterday?

Saturday was a great day at Sugarbush. Sunday woke up to snow report saying it was 29 at the base and 26 at the summit. Everthing started out very "challenging" and hard packed. Thought about packing it in about 10 AM but headed up to Heaven's gate and was rewarded with great conditions on Ripcord. Did a few laps before heading down the mountain. Around 11 AM the sun came out it did not take long to go from mid winter hard pack to spring conditions. Not as good as Saturday but much better than expected from the first runs of the day.

Magic was great on Sunday. A little firm in the morning but it softened up for late mornnig and the afternoon. It got pretty cloudy around noon and colder so I thought it was going to go downhill. Thakfully I was wrong and the sun came back in relatively short order making for some nice afternoon runs down the west side. It heas really been an awesome few weeks. That big dump really went a long way.

Gunstock was warm and slushy on Sat, but still fun, with good coverage.
Sunday more of the same not quite as slushy, still good coverage. Hotshot and the Glades were closed but everythng else was open.

No Crowds either day which made it even better. One more weekend for us 3/27-3/28.

Really good weekend at Mount Snow! Saturday, just a great transition from corn to cream cheese to mashed potatoes snow wise depending on the time of day/sun exposure. Hero bumps with real solid base depths on most every trail and deep in the trees. Crowds were solid, but manageable as lots of folks seemed to turn the "lets have a burger and a beer" at lunch into forget skiing, lets just sit on the deck outside of Cuzzins and drink beer all afternoon (me included :beer: )

Sunday - a bit firm 1st thing in the AM, then about 10:30ish, things started to soften into some glorious corn/cream cheese surfaces, which had essentially the entire mountain (even the Northface) skiing real nice by about lunchtime.

Monday - wasn't expecting much after looking out the window at my place 1st thing - had the look of a cool, damp, raw day with firm snow. Got on the Grand Summit Express, and about 1/2 way up, BAM you broke out of the cold air trapped down low into a glorious inversion with a nice, warm breeze, overcast sky, hero snow and no crowds Some drizzle finally moved in about lunchtime - mainly nuissance stuff. Even had the pleasure of taking my 6 year old daughter on her 1st run down Ripcord
