The ice storm made a mess...2-3" ice coating everything.

Hunter turns on snowmaking...Viola! Manmade pow on Cliff to Racer's all day on Sat.

Today was a pain...lots of wind. F lift closed at about 10:30, quad running half speed all day until 2pm when it shut down too. D lift to Racer's still good but traffic got heavy. Quit at 2pm to pick kids up from soccer tournament.

Oh yeah skiing was great today on Cliff to Racers, just skiied half as much as usual due to slow/closed lifts and crowds.

We need a snowstorm.

Cliff >Racers was the call Saturday.. Cliff was insane.. No visibility - total cloud.. But talcum power snow...

Didn't make it out Sunday...
Heard the quad caught fire on Saturday... Like flames and everything...

it's embarrasing the amount of times the quad goes down each season for other than weather conditions ... I get to ride and listen to a lot of customer complaints, it's a shame the owner/operators don't do something about it other than ordering more bandaids

The morning was good as Racers was in great shape. it got dicey later on with huge yardsales all over. Even watched a guy slide right into the woods and not come out for 10 minutes. Cliff had poor vis with all the talcum blowing around but nice bumps. Skied with Ta&idahoe for most of the day. Wayout was slick and turning up to the bottom of Clairs..big mistake..solid ice. totaly different conditions from last week due to the storm but still better than most I bet. Hope everything is back in shape for friday!!!

Since I don't get out until later in the day... ya I'm lame..

I usually ride the far skiers right of Racers all the way down... And it's usually fluffy from the people pushing the snow earlier in the day... and it's a cool line... So i go where nobody wants to go and avoid any incidents..

did a noon to last chair today, NO lifts to the top ... Racers is still sweet

if this is going to be an ongoing thing, I'd like to see them get Drop Off going to widen the choise of limited terrain ... lack of snow placement on the download ramp on D today was downright unforgiveable ... skiers and riders were forced to negotiate the up-heaved plastic runners, dangerous and unexcuseable!!! :uzi:

Good skiing with you. The icy stretch of Racers became pretty comical when the Belt Parkway crew was forced to ski the D lift. I watched three snowboarders slide head first down the icy stretch. The first ended up face first after losing an edge on a mogul. The other two, apparently not realizing that it might be a little safer to slide down feet/board first, decided to mimic their buddy and actually got down on their knees and pushed off face first.

Fortunately, once the quad had been fired back up and with the Jets game playing in the bar, the last hour was great.

Or that it might have been even safer to make a hard right and brave Ike instead...
