Took the day off and headed up to Hunter today with low expectations. First of all, had to stop at the Pro and let Keith fix my boot. I've had the Dalbello Krypton Cross for 2 seasons now and I've had fits trying to get the right boot to fit. Lately it has been killing my right big toe to the point that I can't ski comfortably.

I was ready to buy new boots, but Keith ground out the toe box on the right shell and we re-cooked and fitted the liner. Seemed to work as I was fine today even with an already swollen toe and crunched toenail.

The skiing surprised me and was actually quite good. Snow was obviously soft, no people out today. I barely got rained on at all. Ran laps on HBK...the fence line had nice little bumps on Hellgate all the way down the right berm to midstation. Felt really good when it was over today. Best day this season so far.

It can only get better.
