About as good as it could be for the Catskills with this warm weather and rain we've been experiencing. Started out hard but edgeable at the top and soft at the bottom. My last run at 2:30 saw some nice small bumps forming on Hellgate but never got too soft at the bottom. It was actually some pretty good spring skiing in late December.
"Relative" notions aside, it was actually pretty sad (not Hunter's fault). The run down Hellgate was pretty well covered but the other trails had some thin spots. That hill next to Racer's Edge had some great soft bumps but you had to go through a 30 ft long thin zone to get to them (got a couple of minor gouges in my bases - called it quits after 2 runs). Belt Parkway started to get dangerous after 10:30 with people actually stopping in the middle of constrictions. Crowds were extremely light - never any real wait at the quad.
