I'm in. Prolly one of the dumbest things I'm about to do in the last ten years..............and I know better.
I'm gonna' head noth on MLK weekend. IDIOT.........and it's cold to boot. Hunter on the way home Tuesday. Save the tic for a nice sunny 50 degree day in April. There are few places better on the east coast in the spring..........very few.

Plattekill might not be a terrible option, if you want to ski in the Catskills this weekend....at least compared to the alternatives.

Hunter was empty today. And conditions were great to boot.

Looked at the report for tomorrow...

Every single lift on the mountain turning, 4.5/6 on the West Side, only upper 42nd and the glades closed on the main face, and Highlands and all but one trail on E lift open...

I'm sorry, you must be new to forums   I owe you a beer.

Hunter's gotten a bad rap for crowds, I don't know since I just started going there, maybe it was like that once, but crowds aren't bad. The main thing you want to do is get there as early as you can. Most folks don't bother starting until 11 and 12. By then you could get some really good runs in.

And then they all go in for lunch, which keeps crowds down as well. Then, when you hit "peak time" around 2PM, is when you should actually go in for lunch. By the time you come back out, people will have already started leaving and crowds will be going back down.
