I still would like to hear how many late season day tickets they sold pre the All4one and how many post. I really don't think there would be a big difference. I may be wrong on this one. I can see how the conclusion has been drawn. I'm just not convinced yet.

This past Saturday, my wife says she saw quite a few people in line to by tickets after 12. She was really suprised. From what I'm seeing, ASC has made a business decision to close early, they aren't even trying to prolong the season. I think that the sooner they close the happier they will be. My 2 cents.

Here is my breakdown of the use of my bronze pass:

November 28th $59.00
December 17th $71.00
April 14th $29.00
April 16th $29.00

Total use: $188.00
Total cost of pass $349.00

Profit for ASC $161 for doing nothing at all.

Much of the time this year there was better skiing closer to home than at ASC resorts, so the pass for me was a waste of money. I am not sure at this point that I will renew it for next year.

last weekend they did reasonably well between the bump competition and sunshine daydream, but as far as walkup tickets sold, i think the real test will come this weekend when there's not much going on. given the forecast, i'm guessing the place should be pretty empty. i was very surprised this past friday, they had no one checking tickets at superstar or the few times we rode the k1 either. it almost had the feel of a free day. i'm glad they didn't but i'm almost surprised that they didn't hang it up this week.

There is nothing worse than waiting in line to spend money.

I plopped my $49 down happily. last day, good tunes, ok bumps. I'm not happy about the end, but i can move on. Softball starts in 2 weeks. I need to get my liver in drinking shape.

$39 for a lift ticket at this point seems a bit steep to me...

I don't think so, it was some really good skiing, I think there was like at least 15 miles of terrain, sounds reasonable to me. The cost is less and there was more terrain, then a lot of mountains have during peak season.

$39 is always to steep for skiing, any time of year in the east. I don't think me or my dad payed that much once this year. And I doubt that Steve has payed that much for a day of skiing in years.

About K-mart charging $39 for spring: Yes it is too steep, but compared to $74 regular season it is a deal.

$39 is alot of money, but not for skiing. Maybe a bit high for this time of year, but Brettonwoods was $40 for late season.. They do have the deal $20 if you have a pass from another area. Loon was $65 on Sat. If they make it to cheap people won't buy the Season passes next year. One big circle.

Hey, I never pay regular price either, but regular prices in the east are more than $39

lol. Awf170, you and your dad sound like a couple of senior citizens looking for the early bird special. Full price half price free. I've run the full spectrum. For skiing, it isnt about the cost for me. Now, if i still went 30 days or more, i'd probably be singing a different tune. But $39 or $49, whichever it was this weekend, was fully worth it imho.

good point bob. good point.

2knees, just for the record, i ain't complaing cause i ain't paying kmart a dime to ski this spring unless there is an AZ gathering. i will be hiking from here on out and happily. no skin off my nose what so ever regarding how late kmart stays open. just surprised more pass holders aren't asking questions considering kmarts history of staying open so late. obviously, it doesn't seem to matter to most folks, times they are a changing.

I know you werent. Actually, havent read much in the way of complaining at all on this board. I thought you made an interesting point about the all for one pass and the shortening of the season. Just wanted to expand on that. Like bobr said, its impossible to know what impact the $349 pass has had without knowing the number of tickets sold prior to the offer. And it could be a complete cost cutting manuever on their part. who knows.
