It was 8:47 in the morning on the 13th day of March, 1867 when my beloved Mother's cousin's neighbor's, doctor's, horse's veternarian's blacksmith's, uncle's twin nephew departed 345 fffjoeehdbcjkjjmmlmm avenue in the village of maccchtytedjhfh, ydddrgrrkkkthgthgsllm county,Wales. It was only 12 degrees farenheit, but he had to venture forth from the family homestead where they raised and trained sheep to travel to AMERICA!!! He stowed-away in a large sack made of sewn-together sheep intestines and was so sorely missed by his dearest Mother, Sister and sheep. On a Steamship he traveled to the New World where he landed in NEW YORK, and moved into the only neighborhood where a Welsh sheep farmer could, it was the Druish section of Bedford Stuyvasant where the other druids welcomed him with open arms, and sheep bowels. And from there, I was able to drive 1,536 miles in 37.4 hours in order to ski 156 times at 38 different mountains, getting 356,987 feet of vertover 15.7 years, 4 months 12 days and 6.2 hours!!

That should be your signature

Thank you. I have friends who live in the valley...own businesses in the valley...some of them ski every day. The mountain report is one source of info; friends (and family) are another.

You are welcome. I think the difference between the summits is only a hundred or so feet.

I guess if you don't like to be out in the warm weather and skiing that is fine. No reason to get uptight over it.

I was simply pointing out that the mountain is not closed. NH skiers are resilient. They'll be out there in the nice warm sun this weekend.

I agree. I am looking forward to the snow beeing a bit firmer and faster.

Looks like the Jotul will be put in action again. We slept with the windows open last Saturday night.

Sorry...didn't mean to be uptight. Just saying that even though the mountain is open, the skiing wasn't appealing if there were other fun things to do.

I know from NH skiers. I have two in my immediate family that coach at Loon and ski every weekend from Thanksgiving on, no matter the weather. The little cuties that they coach are only 6 and 7 and are also there regardless of weather.

We have friends that coach in that program also; and their kids ski. They live in the valley and ski almost every day all winter.

All of those guys hung it up prior to last weekend. The boats were in the water and there was wakeboarding (alright, just little bit of crazy wakeboarding...! ; - ).
