Anyone here own/tried a pair? Looking at getting a pair of Keeper Skny's from them (126/95/112, 16m radius at 181cm). So far I've only found one comprehensive review about that specific ski. It's hard to find any reviews about their skis other than ones with a 120+ waist ski. From what I understand, the Skny line is new, so I know I'm venturing into some uncharted waters (especially for the East) but there's gotta be someone on the internet that's skied them (I hope). Any info appreciated.

I tried the pilgrims last season in between storms. They were cambered, and carved very well. Not surprisingly, they weren't very good in the bumps though.

Dare I say it....a fun ski for groomers.

I tried a few Icelantic 2015 models at a demo day that Ski Haus organized at Cannon in March 2014. I liked everything from them that I tried. The 24" of snow received overnight could have had something to do with that love. Conditions were also quite cold with highs in the low single digits making for dry pow.

I did try the Keeper SKNY. That was one of my favorite skis of the demo. It turns very easily and it definitely more a finesse and playful ski than a charger. Ski this one longer than you otherwise would. I tried the 191 and had no problem with it. Note that Icelantic has discontinued this ski after only one year. It looks to be replaced with the new Pioneer.

I have a season on the full sized Keepers. They are a fun capable ski. I think the skny would probably be a good all around east coast ski. The cambered portion is pretty stiff, and even allow the big boys to feel solid on hard pack.

I would size up, I think they ski fairly short due to the rockered tip and tail. I'm about 6'3" 200ish lbs and the 189 cm Keepers have never felt too big.

Thanks for the info. Did not know about the discontinuation. Maybe that explains the $299 price tag ;-)

I'm happy about what you're saying with the camber. The tight turning radius really surprised me for being a wide-ish ski. I'm not a "big boy", more like a "bowing ball" (5'8", 190lbs) and to hear that they'll support me is great.

As for sizing I'm on the fence between 171cm's and 181cm's. Given my weight and the fact that you say they ski short I might go for the 181's, but having a ski taller than me is a bit scary considering it's not 1995

If you have a doubt on size, aim too big rather than too small for this one.

Big fan of Icelantic skis. Never been on any of the SKNY skis, but have been skiing 173cm Shamans and 171 cm Nomads the last 4 seasons. Great carving ability on hardpack (both 17M turn radius) and plenty of float and quickness off trail. The edges and bases are bomber. Many of the skis in the Icelantic lineup are on the stiffer side so heavy/powerful skiers will get the most out of the skis. Go longer with the rocker skis but traditional cambered ski well in shorter lengths IMHO.

Thats a really good price on them, Id jump on them if I didn't already buy new skis.
where are they at that price.........just wondering of course :)

Love my Keepers, bullet proof is an understatement........good quality for sure.
The Keeper SKNY was on my list but could get anything below $400 for them
