What other loves do you have other than skiing. For me it's golf, hunting, ice fishing and bowling. I'm sure this has been discussed before just wondering what others due other than ski for fun.

Mountain biking! For 6 months out of the year I am terribly hooked on it. Once it snows I go back to being hooked on skiing.

For athletic activities, I'm pretty hooked on body boarding in the ocean after this past summer. Someday, I'd love to learn how to kite surf

As for non-athletic activities, going out to see live music in clubs and at festivals.

If I didn't ski, winters would be a lot simpler - I'd just ice climb and mtb locally during the week since S. CT doesn't really have a winter.

Summer is trickier - rock climbing, MTB, kayaking, road biking share my time in that order of preference

I remeber trying body boarding. I liked it right up unitl I got folded up like a lawn chair so gave it up just as quick as I started. I can see how peeps really get into it though.

the rush of being pulled back into and up on top of a wave is pretty amazing. too bad the ride on the east coast is so short and yes, getting pummeled into the beach can hurt pretty good.

Don't get to anywhere near enough, but:
MTB, kayaking, hiking

Used to water ski and LOVED it. But my dad doesn't own a boat anymore and we're not willing to invest in one just for that.

It would help if I would stop breaking myself or being pregnant.

In my mind, northern New England
Spring is for spring skiing (so I guess this doesn't count) and watching the Red Sox in spring training.

Summer is for storing away the skis, body boarding and surfing off the Cape, biking, playing baseball and watching the Red Sox pull away.

Fall is for getting the skis tuned, hiking around New England and watching the Red Sox win it all. =)

That would be a great run-up to winter!

Hmm, I'm heavily into biking (MTB and road) and swimming (not competitively, but I'm known to spend 6 or 7 hours at a time out in the ocean). I like hiking, jetskis/ATV's (I don't have them, but friends of mine do) and raquetball as well.

For non-physical stuff, I like to build things and do pretty much anything related to technology.

If I lived in Central America or somewhere similar, scuba diving.

Yeah, see I was going to be serious and say something along those lines but...you know...

I was a PADI Master Trainer until shortly after the kid was born. Been semi-retired for about 6 years. As soon as she turns 10 and can be certified, I'm sure we'll get back into it. Don't need to be anywhere warm, though. Got some really nice sites right here in New England.

Edit: oh yeah, Hiking, MTB, road biking, camping.

For kiks I play with a bunch o friends in a" garage " band , mostly classic rock but also other rock genres . I prolly spend 2 /hrs day yr round on my guitars . I luv to really mess with combinations of guitar "effects " to see what "sounds" we can create -- bad side effect my hearing is shot to hell from the damn amps

Winter: XC, snowshoing, used to MTB any time possible
Non-snow: do a little catamaran sailing, windsurfing, bike riding, and lame but true, gardening

Also try to catch a bit of live music, particularly interested in local talent
