If you had 1 day to ski this coming season, and could ski at any hill in the eastern US, and make that day your definition of perfect ski conditions & perfect ski weather where would you ski?

Me.. I'd select Wildcat, about 2 days after a big storm, temps in the low 20's with bluebird skies.. calm winds..

At Age 50, I can no longer handle bumps all day, but you can find them at Wildcat, Nor can I ski the trees all day, but Wildcat has them, I prefer hard pack to knee deep eastern powder, and I love their groomers, especially Lynx, one of the best blue cruisers anywhere IMO.. I also love the fact you can access the entire mountain from 1 lift. It's a big mountain but not too big... And if you want to have something to look at, you can't beat the view..

But I think what I like about it most is during midweek, you kind of have a feeling of being part of a club, a small group that really loves the place.. the lodge is empty, the hill is empty, I think the place has a LOT of character.. that is so lacking at too many places today..

There's others that would fall into this category for me.. but Wildcat is my #1 pick.

I'm gonna have to go with saddleback only because lot's of people come out on epic days and i really like having lots of room and minimal competition for freshies. same reason i would go with powder mt. in utah.

Jay Peak because last time I was there a couple years ago it was an awesome powder day and I got knocked out 1 hr into it and carted off the mountain! Still don't remember what happened other than there was a dent in my helmet and the inside was cracked. All I remember was that it was awesome (for the first hour! LOL!)
