This ain't no joke! I'll be right down there on that beach in exactly two weeks. Can't wait! Bringing the camera for sure. This flick is from Friday. There were three others in the last two weeks. Maybe Brownsville will want to come down for a little swimmin' ?

There are more "Oh my god" and "oh my goud" per minute than during an entire church service!

At first I thought it was a remote controlled toy. Guess not!

Take a ride to Chatham and go for a swim! Those sharks in Jersey are little guys that won't bite.

BB was afraid to go in the water...

Seals are all over the place. They'll eat out of your hand.

orf! orf! orf! but givent he number of kids under 10YO on that beach, they'll turn that 8 foot shark into a 20-footer who ate babies by September!

I wonder if my friends who have a house in Chatham will be back in September? If they aren't I've first dibs on their skis.

i used to surf at casino pier just down the beach and the fisherman would haul in godd sized blue sharks and duskies all the time. just got back from punta cana dr and did a snorkeling excursion in a pen with some 5 and 7' nurse sharks - you could grab onto their dorsel fins and catch a ride, so cool!

I knew it was a harmless blue, but what is amazing is that it wiggled itself onto the sand. With three weeks of publicity, the amount of screaming is gonna be generating a lot of kiddie nightmares in their little cottage shacks.:???:

Glad you enjoyed the pen. I think I'll keep my digits to myself!

Don't get bit (or punched) by Snookie. Great article on NJ.com today by Paul Mulshine about the world that is Seaside Hieghts NJ. A walk on the boardwalk is very entertaining.

I have been dragged there for the past 28 years, believe me I know. It's probably one of the the most shallow places I've ever been too. 'nuff said.

Is the Sawmill still open? I was last down there last year Memorial Day Weekend and I swear The Sawmill had experienced a fire and was closed. The Chatterbox was gone. I too spent misguided youth on the boards at Seaside.

I get a kick at how so many people are horrified by Jersey Shore. It's Seaside not Malibu. I have friends in the Toms River area who feel it reflects badly on them. I laughed because they are the last people I would identify with that show.

Oh man Alex, the chatterbox! I remember (vaguely) quarter beers - living large on a $5 bill head bobbing to hair bands! although i spent more time on the north end at the swine (wine) cellar! sad to hear about the sawmill, those slices were HUGE back in the day
