My brother has been on Jamcruise the past 6 years in a row. He's heavily involved in the non-profits for the boat. One being 'greening vibes' as a big part of jamcruise is to educate people on how awful the cruising industry is for the environment. The other thing he does, which is very cool is organizes the donation of $1000s of dollars worth of computers and school supplies to donate to low income schools at the ports the ship docks at.

From everything I've heard from him and several other friends that I know have gone, it is the ultimate experience for a music lover; better than any concert or festival you'll ever attend.

If I had the time and cash, I'd do it in a heart beat.

What i get out of the pictures and stuff is you really get access to the performers... So you can sit at the bar with Warren Haynes or sit by the pool with Al from moe... Or maybe catch some Grace Potter side boob...

very true, though obviously it depends on the performer.

sean has had breakfast with George Porter and his wife every morning of the past 3 Jamcruises. Has become a tradition.

personally, I'd prefer a bit of Grace sideboob over eggs benadict.

ah, the irony.

indeed

I know two of the key focuses are to raise money for lobbying groups that are looking for tighter regulations on waste water disposal and also to recycle as much as possible; something that really doesn't happen on the big commercial carriers.
