Sometimes you just have to cross your fingers and go. With Jay, more often than not, I come away with a big ole shit eating grin on my face :D You'll only find tracked out soft packed pow and frozen groomers tomorrow, but I had a pretty good two hour romp on the Bonnie scoring untracked all over the place. About 8". All powder in the trees, minor breakable crust on the trails, especially down low. I <3 my fat skis. Cuts right through that crap while my 8000s would be hooking up.

Worst tree damage was on Northway due to snow making. Try as I might to make that a joke, I really can't laugh, it looked disgusting. Overall, Jay came away from this storm with a significant net gain and hardly any ice damage. Second tracks down Liftline at 10am? Thank you sir, may I have another? Full report over yonder.

Sorry, JD. Forgot my camera.

Based on everything I have read, I suspect Jay might have been the only area in New England that had A+ conditions on Saturday. No crowds at all, either. Which I kind of figured would be the case considering what happened down south and reports of mixed precip everywhere. Not to mention punks like awf170 who thought it was too cold to go skiing.....

I went to MRG today and it was around 30F. I was still freezing. I hate cold. I would have died at Jay yesterday. Plus I'm sick.

Anyway, MRG was teh gnar today. I don't think I ever seen so many ice bulges in my life. Super sketchy conditions in an awesome way.

Sat went out. It was -3 when I pulled int he parking lot. Caught first chair and last chair. Went in for about 45 minutes all day. It was not that cold if you were skiing.

Sunday i took the day off and went out on the CC skiis with the trimmers. making a nice shot near my house so the dog and I can blaze through there. He thinks he is bad ass till I take off and he wines like a beatch trying to keep up.
