"We don't make a million dollars by offering late season lift-serviced access to our terrain," continued Stenger, "but we feel we owe it to our Season Pass holders and die-hard regional skiers and riders who make up such a big percentage of our guest profile

Jay passholders gotta be happy.

GEEZ that is nice to hear. In most places season pass holders are looked at as the bastard step child.

We're the only Vermont resort to announce; The Loaf has been planning to stay open through this weekend for a while now.

Definitely have the Loaf beat for price. $25 (for the weekend) vs $39.

Do they now have the title of Vermont's King of Spring?

I thought I read somewhere that Sugarbush will announce whether they'll open for the weekend on Thursday. Stein's is buried. If they could provide Bravo access via the VH Traverse and Coffee Run, they could do it. Even those trails had 18"+ pretty much last Friday.

I've done the drive from PA and gone through Hartford..it's just I-91 north almost to Canada and then about 30 minutes of back roads..a really easy drive..If I lived in Hartford..I'd be at Jay Peak this weekend..but 8 hours for me doesn't seem so appealing for 2 runs..

So, looks like we have an old-fashioned arms race in Vermont! Gotta love this!

Drive is probably a little over 4 hours from Hartford. I've done it from the Springfield area many times under 4 hours. Rip it up!!

They're only the "King of Spring" because they're at 400+ inches for the season. Any other season and they would have shuttered a bit ago. But that's what the Jay Cloud will do for ya! I doubt they're looking to make it a habit to ski into May unless we get some more 400 inch seasons.....Ah we can all dream...... :snow:

They're definitely not quite the snowmaking machine that Killington was when they would basically run snow guns on Superstar all winter long!
