Jay Peak - 10/17

Light... very light...

The mountain was white top to bottom. We decided to go biking instead... Went down to Montgomery for some singletrack fix. Then had lunch on the stateside balcony looking at the snowy mountain... put on my boots and went for a walk up... 4in top... but lots of frozen grass.... so it made for an interesting run! Not worth clmbing all the way up... but still fun. Then a 2h of trail maintenance. Temps slightly above freezing. Perfect blue sky. No wind. Best days of the season!

3h ride / 1 run down / 2h of TM / 2 beers = in bed by 9PM!

Old thread bump. Headed up to Jay the weekend of March31/April 1 and with the lack of snow are looking at some alternatives to skiing.....would be interested in any beta if folks are willing to share and the trails are ridable.
