Unless MSSI accepts IOUs as payment, I don't think ASC will be buying Jay Peak any time soon. What you should really worry about is someone like Ginn or another real-estate oriented firm buying Jay. Intrawest wouldn't do it b/c, despite the real estate possibilities, they already have an asset in the Montreal market - Tremblant. Though that didn't stop them with Copper and Winter Park I guess.

yeah your right about ASC, but you got the point about me worrying about some Les Otten type getting into Jay, that would be my biggest nightmare, next thing you know their are baracades around every piece of woods that isn't a marked run. maybe thats a bit extreme but I think you guys know what I mean. I think Bill Stenger is about as good of a manager as you will get for Jay, hes not perfect but who is? He pretty much knows what the skiers want and delivers, hes also looks out for the community as a whole. good guy.

I just wish they would make it easier to get to the tram...who wants to wait on a packed stair way?

How else could they do that for the set up that they have?

Packed elevator
but in all seriousness they could make the stairs further away with the new lodge and then have a biger waiting area.

i don't see a problem with the stairs. better to avoid the tram any way, except for the first few runs between 8:30-9:30 or so. otherwise, its mostly waiting in long lines of tourists and joeys who want to ski groomers. anyone wanting to ski groomers really has no need to do the tram. or to ski at jay peak at all, imo.

Theyre hitting the jackpot with their newfound skier visits and theyre gonna milk it for all its worth..... You can never win. Either your worried the place is gonna go under, or the crowds ruin all your favorite trails. Their in-between years may be behind us now, and I guess you just gotta hope your secret spots stand the test of time.
