2/10/04 Night 7:00 - 10:00
Jiminy Peak
Hardpack with 2” of manmade on top. Some glazed hardpack spots.
The conditions were about the same as my last trip on 2/10. F A S T! The crust on the upper mountain was a bit thicker and hence bullet-proof. Trails were in good condition as I was usually not skiing on the sides to get some snow. Less carvable than last week, but not atrocious except in a few spots where I skidded. One skid left me with a lower left side muscle pull. Best trail of the night was Ace Of Spades that was groomed from edge to edge, but made for the best carving of the night. No glazed spots at all! Grand Slam had the similar conditions, but with more manmade and was very good. Upper Fox was was better than last week, and was groomed very well. Did I mention the skiing was fast?
