I haven't skied their for years...but I have been up there on my ATV via Pittsfield State Forest. I should dig up some pics for everyone.

3? try

I went there today, 3 ways down, not crowded, glad to be on snow again.

Three??
Major trails:
North Slope>360>180
West Way> Grand Slam
West Way>Foxes (Upper & Lower)
Lower Glade>Slingshot (Upper & Lower)
Then throw in Racoons Den & Ex East, and there were a whole buncha different combinations of ways down.

Quite possibly the BEST openning day in Sixty YEARS!!

Spin it any way you want Stache, you had to take a combination of those mostly little trails to get top to bottom 3 different ways. I’m not putting it down, I had a good time, just keeping it real.

I remember Gore would always open with "three trails".
The upper part of cloud, middle stielhang, and then lower showcase. Truly only one path top to bottom but it was using parts of Three trails.

It is what it is and it's really good.

PS. story from Brian's office is that one day (24 hr period) this week, even with all the snowmaking, they only had to purchase 2 kwh from the grid, Zephyr supplied the rest.

Though I think Option 2 might be best I'll give ya one more if ya like the Thruway.

Thruway North to Exit 23 to I-787 North to exit for I-90 East. Exit 8 (2nd exit after crossing river boith come up real quick) long ramp, follow it till it dumps you onto State Route 43 east, follow that till you cross State Route 22 and the rest is extremely much better explained above. This is actually better than Option 1 going all the way to B3 via the Berkshire Spur and up Route 22.

When I first started teaching at Jiminy 3 years ago I bought an E-Z Pass thinking I would use Option 1 from my home exit 22 Selkirk, but Option 3 is actually faster by 15 mins or more. Of course the Thruway and 22 are better plowed in bad weather.

I was there saturday. It was great! No lift lines, good snow...great edge to edge coverage and lots of good lsgr/pp along trail edges due to skier traffic and wind.

EXCEPT for the attitude of the mountainside ski shop. They refused to adjust my bindings because quote ' we don't work on fischer bindings'. I had to drive back into town and luckily Ski Fanatics were open and took care of it in 2 minutes.

And the 30 mph winds blowing straight at you as you came down off the summit. I could do without that. It was colder @ Jiminy saturday than it was at Stowe in January, no lie.

It was my 1st trip to jiminy in many years, I wouldn't mind going back when they are 100% open on a good snow day.

Sucks about the binding part. Just remember to thank your favorite attorney for that and the fear of liability issues the next time you see them ;)

Actually since I grew up in Schodack, I know how to take B1 to 9 north to a right at the Hanaford Distribution center and go the back roads and come out on 20 in Nassau, then cut a quick left after Lebanon Valley and come out on 43 west of Stephentown. It Still is better/faster to go 787>90>43.

Thankyou Dr. Jeff. I am the person who told you that I could not work on the bindings. There are rules that I MUST follow. If I adjusted them and you fell and hurt yourself you could have sued me for touching them. I prefere to cover my own ass........

For someone who used to work at Sunday River, or Sugarloaf(I forget which) you should know this, instead of having never heard of this in your life.
