Just booked five days at Jay Peak for Feb 'cos we couldn't resist the package prices and free daycare. Anybody have good/bad experiences with the kids instruction at Jay Peak? We'll have a few 6 to 9 year-olds with us varying in skill and want to put them in all-day lessons for at least some of the time. Also, is there much to do for kids apart from ski at Jay Peak?

We started skiing Jay for Presidents week each year starting when our kids were 5 and 7. We started putting them in the ski school all day and skied with them for a hour before and after lessons. After a few years when they could ski well enough to ski with us we put them in for half days only. Even when the became teenagers they still wanted to go into the half day program because they would take them places we wouldn't have gone to. Once they become good skiers the Mountain Adventures programs will actually take them all are the mountain both on and off map.

That was twelve years ago. We now have season passes and ski 20 - 30 days a year at Jay.

As for other activities there is a few things during holiday weeks but not much. We were usually so tired that we didn't need much.
