Cool. Low teens at summit for sure. No wind so it made for a very comfortable day!
First day out due to first grandchild being born in Plano Texas! I know some of you have met Sheila (Miss Reefer) and even skied a run with her so I posted our pic below with Ella.
K was great today, more people than I anticipated but never waited for a lift and didn't have any crowd issues on the trails we were skiing. Dragged DoubleEject with me. Out from 10:00 - 1:00 and 2:00 - 4:00.
Started off on the Gondi and took the Lower East Fall route down a few times. Superstar to Skylark was sweet for about four straight runs.
Did a couple laps down Ridge Run off the NRT.
Guess we were lucky to get a couple laps in on Highline before our late lunch in between it being closed most of the day for racing.
After lunch ended up on Mouse Trap a few times, hit Superstar to SL one more time, then did the East Fall route a few times off the Gondi to finish the day. Feels like I skied........
Not much snowmaking. Guns were blazing on Upper Bittersweet but that was about it. Looked like some weld repairs were being done on Lower Superstar pipes.
I would expect a busy day tomorrow being Connecticut Ski Council weekend, $35.00 tickets. This hasn't happened at K in at least a couple years. Saw a lot of CT plates and met some members that came up today. Some half-ass pics:
