Date(s) Skied: 2/18/12

Resort or Ski Area: Killington

Conditions:packed Powder, Hard Pack, Ice and a little bit of dare I say Powder

Trip Report: Got to the hill early, made 2nd chair. Escapade was a windblown icy mess, but cover was good (ie I didnt hit ground). OL was mostly hardpack, skiers right had a bump line or two but was thin cover with rocks plainly visible. Best part was the shot directly under the quad at the very top. Skied middle and lower Vertigo, hands down ROTD. Soft bumps! I almost forgot what they felt like. The Twisters did nicely. Hit the Stash trees which were in surprisingly good condition. Scratchy but good cover. Vagabond was a mixed bag of soft snow and hard pack. Roundabout was open and in good shape. Once again soft bumps. Skied by the dearly departed South Ridge Triple for the first time this season. It is amazaing how empty it looked without the lift or towers. Middle Ovation was more soft bumps and runner up for ROTD. Overall a good morning, especially by this season's standards. Crowds were not overwhelming early but swelled considerably by mid day.

Nice TR/pics, thanks. Isn't it a good feeling to get there early and beat the crowds to the good stuff?

Hell, im just happy that there are some goods out there to be had! I've been dying for some good bump lines this season! You are right though, love beating the holiday crowds!

Better yet go Mon.-Fri. No crowds to beat.

Had a great week this week at K. Be back next week when everyone goes home.
