Date(s) Skied: April 14-15

Resort or Ski Area: Killington

Conditions: Powder

Trip Report: Got up to K late Friday night so we decided to get a late start on saturday due to me having bronchitis . Once we reached the base we were sorry we slept in, the place was packed. We ended up on the Snowdon quad by 10 and got a great view of what today was going to hold.
I can't believe its april, Killington said with this new storm they will shatter the all time record of inches in april.
The snow was good everywhere and once you got up on the mountain the crowds were a non issue. 2knees said that lower Powerline was sweet so that was one of the first trails I wanted to hit. Sweet it was the pics will tell the story. Cascade was a trail we skied about 4 times. The snow was just to nice to pass up so each time down we decided to head right back up. Pipe dream was sick with untracked pow on most of the trail. My bronchitis was starting to give me a problem with breathing and I was getting some bad burning in my chest, so we decided to take a break at Bear.
After our break we jumped on Bear quad and got a good look at OL. I so wanted to hit it but I knew that my lungs would be killing me with all those bumps so we decided to hit Wildfire. The runs of the day were Powerline, Cascade, Lower eastfall.
SUNDAY
We got up early since we had to be on the road by 12:30. It was snowing already and we rushed to the base. We started out on the Snowdon quad again and while skiing up to the chair I noticed Andyzee and V with some friends getting on the chair. Once at the top we said hello and they headed down Chute as we wanted to try Mouse Trap. I think today was even better then Saturday if it was not for the thick fog up top. We skied all our favorites from Sat all over again and for april it was like a dream. My last run was down Powerline to Lower eastfall. I don't think I have skied powerline line this well all season as I just killed it. What a great way to end the weekend!! APRIL...unreal :daffy:

Dave, Shame you couldn't hang out longer. The conditions just got better and better throughout the day. We lasted until 1:30 and finally had to quit cause V's quads were screaming. Mine weren't much better but, I was having to good of a time and just wanted to keep going. Towards the end of the day, with quads hurting, we did a few runs on Cruise Control, some sweet cruising. But, this weekend I was enjoying the bumps so much I couldn't resist all the way to the end. Just kept on hitting the nice soft bumps where ever I saw them. It was bump, bump, ouch, bump, bump, ouch

I know each run was better and better..it was VERY hard to call it a day. They say the power is out at K now.

did anyone do catwalk from the top? i took a look up it from that little traverse trail and it looked pretty scoured.

It's good to hear that you had a good time at Killington.

Take care of the bronchitis, that can really get nasty.

Feel better

Great shots. Can't remember the last time the high shrubbery on lower Powerline was that well covered. Same for Old Cascade for that matter....
