Weather: Funky to say the least, everything from fog to sun to snow to hail to rain and and back again.
Conditions: Morning nice, afternoon sticky
So we rolled in before nine, early start for us. Killington didn't get the anticipated 14-18" but they did report 7" and that seemed about right. Overall conditions were pretty good, nice soft snow and bumps all over, started at Ramshead, worked our way over to Needles area and then a little Skype. My wife wasn't really used to the conditions and was complaining about her legs hurting so I figured I'd be a nice guy and head back to Ramshead with her since that was nicely groomed. Along the way we stopped for some lunch and then headed up. Came down Header to find that a little bit of drizzle must have soaked the snow a bit and this made it very grabby. Damn almost got spun around a couple of times. Decided to call it a day about 1:30, figured tomorrow's another day. I do believe tomorrow will be a good one for sure! And the rest of the season should be great as there's still tons of snow up there and spring skiing hasn't truly kicked in yet. Just a shame that Killington has already announced a May 1st closing. With all the snow they have, I'm sure they could go to the end of May as they did in the past.
