We have been planning this trip for a while. Weather looked iffy, but I found a great condo deal on Craig's List. A new 5 bedroom for $250 a night. The King Pines just past the Grist Mill. Really nice place with views.

We drove up in sunny skies. 60 degrees.
We woke up to snow and 30.
Did some work, cuddled with the wife and hit the K1 at 12pm.

All bump runs were closed. If they opened them, they would have skied in nicely. Sadly, We had to duck some ropes to scrape our way around.

We bombed our way around through high winds, heavy snow and lot's of snow devils. Ended up skiing Super Star to Bittersweet a dozen time.

Tomorrow on the other hand looks great.....

Yeah, tomorrow looks like the day. I was gonna head up Saturday but the r word seems to be in the forecast. Then Easter. It may be the 1st week of the season that I don't hit the mountain. Sigh.

Where are the bumps? (Last week they pretty much sucked)

1) After you rip upper hawk, what's left as far as real bumps? Just that mini course on lower lark or skiers left on lower SS?
2) Middle ovation getting any decent lines yet?
3) Off of gondola, anything besides Escapade to left side of Cascade? They leaving downdraft bumped or still flattening that?
4) Anything decent on needle's eye side besides Vertigo which is only doable if u have rock skis?
5) What else?

As 2knees said in another thread, it sucks to deal with the slush just to get to a few bumps...

Epic zippers started to form on Lower SS. Downdraft and Cascade were the best. Also, Highline and Conclusion.

SkyHawk did not even soften up on Friday.

Snowing hard now.....
