I noticed that they had 2 lifts closed today because of weather, I tried finding something on kzone, but either I wasn't thorough enough or it wasn't there.
Were the lifts closed because of cold temps or because of wind, and could I expect the same thing tomorrow?

Thanks.

Unfortunately I dont think it was due to wind as the winds were down today....I think its staff issue...well at least thats what you'll hear anyway...

Post something in ask killington thread on kzone........mgmnt MIGHT answer before you go tomorrow...

I tried registering, and never got the confirmation email. Thanks anyway. There's still the gondi's and I guess they're heated. Not too shabby.

I'll guess a combo of temps and wind.

If you get stuck on either of those two lifts, you could easily freeze to death before they can get you off.

I doubt it is a staffing issue as those are two critical lifts. Im not sure the reason but I believe the webpage said it was weather related.

I am encouraged to see them updating the website during the day to report lifts on hold. This has been a complaint in the past not only at k but also many other places.

Def. wind/weather related. There are certain lifts that you can assume will never open during the week because they don't want to staff them.. but if any "major" lift is on Hold, its something else.
