BigK, what are you hearing about yourself? Is this just a rumor or has your ground frozen solid? Do you see snowmakers on yourself? Are hoses being dragged up your trails? Is there air moving uphill through your snowmaking pipes? Water? What's your wet bulb temp right now?

I'm in Rutland and it is raining. The webcam is showing rain IMHO at K-Mart.

Rain/Snow line is just below superstar headwall right now and extending through the canyon area. There is snow at the higher elevations with dropping temps.

I believe the snowmakers are working as I type, and will be working tonight as well.

So did anyone hear any rumors aboout a Halloween opening at K?

I heard they're opening on Halloween and there will be discounted tickets if you dress up in a costume. Your ticket will be free if you dress up like Snow White.

That was 2005, and yes there was about three feet of snow for Halloween...... snowed the week before! We did Cannon again that day

I was there for it too. 3 feet of powder with no base. It was classic and epic. If MRG ran their lifts I would have gone ther but Killington ran lifts so we went there. It was a ton of fun.

yup. Lots of folks hiked the day before but when they opened the lifts it was like sex on a popsicle stick...

It's definitely snowing. I'm sure Rutland weather is a good indicator of what it's doing in Killington.:roll:
