I guess I wasn't really aware they still were in business.:dontknow:

Same. I guess they were the same as Olin and Volant: once great brands that are barely alive. In this case, finally dead. I won't be surprised though if the brand name is sold under bankruptcy and someone tries to resurrect the name.

I have an old pair of Kneissl White Stars 210 cm circa 1970-71 that my father skied on. In the day I remember they were touted as the best ski by the Austrian ski instructors that we knew at Madonna Mountain. They are in remarkable shape and would/will make a good bar decoration some day.

I had a pair back in HS and early college. I forget the model though. Good skis, liked them a lot until I got 215cm Head skis.

I inherited a pair of White Stars from my Dad and quickly broke them back in the 80's... :)
