Now I don't mean late in the year, I mean how late in the day have you ever skied/ridden without the help of lights?

I came up with this question when I was in Lincoln, NH and noticed skiers coming down Ripsaw and realized it was almost 7! A woman I work with husband skinned up late last week at around 6 on the same trail. There was three of four of them and I think a dog. Instantly I was jealous seeing that today was just a flat out gorgeous day! The young ladies out for jogs are a plus too!

So what is the latest you've been out, and skiing under a full moon counts as well

Lots of BC stuff on full moon nights in High School in and around my folks place in Ludlow . Pretty cool spot in a development on the west side of route 100 near Lake Rescue. Mountain behind has about 1500 feet of vert to it, none of it very consistent in pitch, but there were a few shots up there, especially under the power lines that me and my friend Jeff would hike to in the middle of the night.

Also had a steep 100 foot high hill in the front yard that we tried to build bumps on to poor results. Another part of the yard we built a four hit mini pipe (like three feet ) that you couldn't build any speed for, but we tried to rock it anyways. Several jumps in the yard, some very good. A killer luge for sledding in the side yard, so wicked I actually rocketed off of it into a tree one night and tore my MCL one week before I was going to Colorado, so I spent my five days there on crutches and not skiing. Many nights we'd go sledding on some of the stuff we skied because it was easier to hike with a sled than in ski boots with skis on your shoulder. Every Saturday night and every night of school vacations all winter we'd be out sledding or skiing until 2-3am. Total blast

Thanks mom and dad, I had it good in High School.

I skied the NELSAP Besse Park in Torrington this winter in the dark. It was about 9:15PM when I hiked up. Granted it's a small hill, but all I had for light were the street lights off the bottom. I wasn't planning on heading there, otherwise I would have at least brought my headlamp.

mt snow used to stay open till 6 after the time change, back in the late 80's. that would probably be the latest.

I did cross country a few times in the dark when I was a kid. Used a headlamp. Does that count as the help of lights?

I've done the torchlight parade at magic a couple of times... I guess that is around 6:30 ish?? Every year we also talk about hoofing it to the top late at night with a full moon but it always seems that by that time we've had a few too many beers to even think about getting to the top:p

Many years ago, at a large ME resort that shall go nameless, a bunch of us employees would actually fire up the triple chair and make a few post "last call" runs. Then we'd head over to the CC and peel back the cover on the outdoor heated pool and take a dip.

Everything was always put back exactly in the right place, and not a mark was left. Except for the dozen or so tracks from the summit on the freshly groomed trails. This probably went on for 2-3 years.....

I've done full moon skiing quite a few times down from the top of Killington when they used to serve dinner up there. Latest? Maybe 10:30.

Well if Torchlight Parades count, then 8pm Every Thursday night at Jay Peak for two seasons '86-'88 and at least on torchlight parade at Windham I think it was 9pm.

Used to do the 10pm-3am late shift at Powder Ridge (CT) in my early days. The "bump" used to have late, late night skiing on the weekends back in the early '80's. Lots of characters out at that hour. Lots of Mr. Boston too.
