Back in the early to mid 90's there was a surf board company and for the life of me I cann't rember the name, made a board with a convex base easier turning less edge catching. Truely not a lot of original ideas in snowboard design just putting a diffrent wrapper on over the outside most of the time. Real inovations are on the inside ie aluminum honey comb core.
