Have you tried taking them down Ridge at Sunapee? Top half is marked blue but there's only one steeper section IIRC. Biggest challenge on that trail would be the crowds.

There is a green from the summit at Ragged that's pretty novice-friendly. Only been to Loon once, but they have a nice green trail from the summit as well.

Polecat is perhaps the best top to run novice run in all of New England. Though you have to catch Wildcat on the right day as it can be darn cold and windy up top.

I have not skied Bretton Woods, but have read plenty about it and driven by it numerous times. It appears to be one of the better 'big' mountains in NH for beginners.

Pat's Peak has some pretty mellow green trails.

Ragged Mt. would be a good suggestion. Most of the main trails are quite easy so you can roam the whole moutain rtaher than being confined to just a trail or two.

Lots of green choices at Bretton Woods, and they are groomed to perfection and never that crowded.

I second BW. My then 6 year old daughter learned to ski there. She could barely make it down the little magic carpet hill her first day in ski school and by day 2 she was skiing top to bottom down the main greens under the lifts. Great family resort.

Bretton Woods.

Yeah I have to vote that way too. Range View was the first trail that our kids ever took off on us on. The wife and I were standing talking and the next thing we knew the kids were 3/4 of the way down the mountain. Great Resort, fun for kids, and check out the cool Hotel across the street.

Pats Peak + a million, as a day trip. Additionally, they have some really nice little glades which can be taken VERY slowly (they're practically flat, really) which can build a bit of confidence.
