I still had hopes of skiing Tuckerman Ravine in July, at least any little strip of snow that may survive. This is not as crazy as it may sound, there is a guy over at timefortuckerman.com that supposedly has done this for the past five years.

Anyway asked my wife today what she would like to do for vacation, her response was Cape Cod. When I stated, "What, no more skiing?" Her response was "Time for the madness to stop"

Well, guess I can't complain, she's a sweetheart that has put up with a lot. Time to put a summer coat of wax on the skis and hang them up. On the bright side, got 3 bike rides in this week and hiked last week :)

I was going to say that this has been my cure for the blues of off-season:

Hiking big mountains...soon???? That just doesn't seem to take my mind of skiing for some reason.

Go out west and ski Timberline Lodge if you really need a fix. There is still plenty of snow with skiing down to the lodge. They will be open from now until September 3rd.

Next year my son and I will probably ski at Las Lenas in June/July.

Besides hiking and roller blading, this works pretty good for me:

Doesn't seem to me like you'd get very far with that thingamajig on the back wheel... ;)

Man, I wish you were my dad. Interested in adopting a 39 yr old?

The trip to Argentina is just in the early planning stages and not cast in stone as it is roughly $2,500 per person, but I would like to go there with my son. If not he would just as well like to ski on mount Hood. My brother took his kids to Australia/New Zealand at age's 5 and 7 repectively, so I think Warren is old enough for a long distance ski trip.

Andy, you're a trooper... you hung out there far enough with the best of them... give yourself a pat on the back ;)

Plenty of other summer activities... :) actually, summer is a problem because there is so much to do and not enough time for all of it...

Yep, I have the same problem. It's just that I love skiing so much. Guess that's the good thing about winter, there's only one thing on my mind, makes things much simpler ;)

All good things must come to an end... :)

One of the REALLY cool things about this website is that I can almost relive the feeling I felt in the past - vicariously....
Listening to people getting moguls for the first time... Or tackeling their first expert run.. Trying snwboarding for the first time..
Or Andy.. Going for broke and pushing the season.

Well, if all goes well, I hope to have some Tuckerman stories for you next season, I'm hooked :)
