Loon

Overnight, 3 inches new.

Arriving at the parking lot at 9:15, it was the largest crowd I have seen on a weekday. Still spots available, but were all half-way between Octogon and Governors.

Inside the lodge was empty, they were already on the hill. However, once we got on the lift, it was apparent these were local/season pass people. More than half seniors, that had all arrived one to a car.

Conditions were awesome. Temp was cool enough that conditions were not effected in usual spring fashion. For the most part, people were spread out, and congestion was never an issue. As morning progressed into lunch, the seniors left, and college age boarders started arriving.

Great day. One guy sharing the lift thought it was the best day all season. Important, as he was a senior pass holder.

I did not venture over to South Peak. Main mountain had plenty of cover, and it was good until my body quit at 3pm !

I was there as well for the Ken Jones demo day. The first hour and a half in particular were about the best conditions I've seen in a long time. Had a blast testing some 95-100 width skis in the powder/chowder. I did take one run on South Peak (that long blue to skier's right) and it was in fine shape as well (not to mention, deserted.)
