Below is a link of the snow at Loon, opening day is tomorrow, and look at how much more snow is on Lower Picked Rock compared to a couple of days ago! Of course temps have been just right to make snow round the clock. Wanted to take a ride up to Cannon but ran out of time.

Anyway:

They should thank you. Web site does not even show they made snow other than the video. I'm sure the checks in the mail.

I sent off an e mail to Loon this AM Bob and got this response:

Thank you for e-mailing Loon Mountain Ski Resort. We appreciate your complements and suggestions. Tomorrow we will be opening. For lifts we will have the Gondola and the East Basin lift open. For trails we are scheduled to have Exodus, Upper Picked Rock, Grand Junction, The Link and Lower Picked Rock open. Our updated trail report will start tomorrow. Have a great winter season and we look forward to seeing you at Loon!

I had also mentioned the fact that the trail report did not indicate any snowmaking. I think there new web site is not complete yet, although it is nicer than the old one.

According to the website they're making snow on Brookway, Crosscut, U/L Bearclaw, and the park. If all of those and a few more (like a Sunset/Haulback/L. Walking Boss combo) open up by next weekend, I will definitely be up. Getting excited just thinking about it. Not worth driving 2 hours for basically 2 trails though; done that the last few years and regretted it.
