After getting more snow then predicted I thought it would be fun to just go try out my skins and AT bindings up at lynn woods, even though it wasnt steep, and the snow wasnt great, and it was kinda raining it was still fun. I now understand how steve had fun going up bolton with really no snow and a horrible donehill. Going up was actually more fun then down. It was funny because at the bottom there was only about 6 inches of snow(elevation 60 ft) but at top there was actually about 10 inches(300 ft) kinda funny how such a little elevation can have a lot more snow.

Here are some pics:

I have 3 little vids, but I cant upload them for some reason, tips?

Also it is a quicktime movie, and is 4 mb if that helps.

yeah, its pretty awsome. I was pretty impressed in how fast I could skin, after hearing about how the skins I have dont slide, its a heavier setup, and just having alpine boots. Defiantly way faster than I could have walked. I think I may get some cross country skis now and go up there a few times a week, or if that costs to much I may just figure out how to wax so I dont have to the skins off for every downhill. I cant wait til I can get up north and do some real mountains. :D
Its kinda funny now how when I go skiing I hope the summit lifts are closed so I can just lap untracked runs by skinning up.
