Trip Report:
Unusual combo of deep snow and warm temps. 60's on the hill when I arrived around 12:30pm
Red chair was going up nearly empty the whole time. First couple runs were on the groomed, skied well as up top, slowed down a bit lower down with less pitch and stickier snow.
Groomed Run
With the requisite groomers out of the way I hit Sorcerer which looked nicely bumped. Turned out the snow was so deep and soft that it would collapse in places under ski. Made me ski very defensively and tired me out on the way down.
At the bottom I made the executive decision to switch out for my snowboard, a good choice if I do say so myself
The rest of the day consisted of hitting as many blacks and 2x blacks as possible. Got to all of the marked ones except Red Line and Upper Black Line. Both of those looked good although seemed less covered vs. the other runs, and time ran out before I got to them. This place has great steeper terrain and marked glades as advertised. I will certainly return when I get the chance. Wish this place was closer to me, all you people in the 91 corridor who like bumps and terrain are crazy if you're not going here. Sry for the crappy cell phone pics, no jacket=no dedicated camera for me.
